Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Vologda State Dairy Farming Academy named after N.V. Vereshchagin” is the oldest higher educational institution in the North-West of Russia.

It is situated 16 km away from Vologda city on the riverside of Vologda river in Molochnoe settlement.

Now the academy has 7 educational buildings and 4 educational-laboratory buildings, the total area of which is 36500 square meters.

The staff of the academy numbers 318 people, 117 of them is higher-education teaching personnel, among them there are about 19 Doctors of Science, and 78 PhD. About 3050 students study here.

Today, the academy consists of the following faculties:

• Faculty of agronomy and forestry
• Faculty of economics
• Engineering faculty
• Technological faculty
• Faculty of veterinary medicine and biotechnologies

The mission of Vologda SDFA

Vologda SDFA is one of the founders of development of the system of the agrarian higher education and agricultural science, especially in complex issues of the technology of receiving and industrial processing of milk.

The academy always aims to offer effective scientific-educational responds to the new time requirements.

The mission of Vologda SDFA is to expand the boundaries of knowledge and teaching, ensure the training of graduates-professionals, contribute to saving and increase of moral, cultural and scientific values of the society.
