Bermet, a third-year student of the technological faculty

I am from Kyrgyz Republic. My study program is “Food products of animal origin”. I like Russian culture and speak Russian very well. So, when I got a chance to enter Vologda SDFA, I decided to try. I succeeded with the entrance examination and came to Molochnoe settlement. I didn’t have any difficulties with the study process or living, everyone was helpful. My fellow students and friends are always ready to assist me if I need any help.

My favorite subjects are English, Technological equipment and Organoleptic estimation of milk quality. I attend these lectures and practical lessons with great interest, though other disciples are very useful and important, of course.

The first year of study is the most memorable for me. Many things were new and unusual. I took part in a contest "Hello, we are looking for talents". The contest is organized every year for first-year students. It has been one of the most bright and exciting events of my life in the academy.

I study well, homework takes much time. But still I fit traditional dancing classes, walks with friends and work into my schedule.

I would recommend prospective students from different countries to consider Vologda SDFA as an interesting and comfortable place for education.

Aslamjon, a third-year student of the faculty of agronomy and forestry

I came from the Republic of Tajikistan. My study program is agronomy.

I heard about the academy when I was at school (my next-to-last year). The representatives from Vologda SDFA and some other universities visited us to tell about the opportunity to study in Russia. I liked the idea to get agricultural education. I checked the Internet for more information, watched videos about the academy and started to prepare for entrance examinations. I liked sport and one of the advantages for me was the opportunity to continue doing it. I saw that the academy had a good base for sport activities.

At the beginning I had difficulties with Russian language. I understood well but was afraid of speaking. But I started to learn it hard and my Russian fellow students helped me a lot. The senior students from Tajikistan also assisted me with other situations.

I study well and receive an educational scholarship (not many foreign students get it here, indeed). My favorite subjects are Mathematics, Technology of storage and processing of plant production, Physical Education.

In my free time, I read books in Russian and, of course, do a lot of sport. I play football, do mixed martial arts. I participate in MMA competitions and have taken the first place several times.

Also, I have been chosen to be a curator for foreign students in the dormitory. I explain the dormitory rules to newcomers, help students to solve different problems with living and so on.

I’ve received a temporary residence permit and I have a free medical insurance policy now. It is very convenient; I don’t have problems when I get sick. I just go to the clinic here in Molochnoe settlement and receive medical treatment.

I recommend prospective students from other countries to enter Vologda SDFA. The education here is free for citizens of such countries as Tajikistan, Belorussia, Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan. It is a good place to study Russian language and get a profession. The teaching staff is qualified and helpful. You just have to study well, to be hard-working and also take part in non-academic events. You will definitely like the student life here!
