Silas Hayer came to Molochnoe on the 19th of November. In the morning a visit to the collective farm “Avrora” was organized for him. After that Silas went to the faculty of veterinary medicine and biotechnologies and talked to Marina Mekhanikova, the head of the department of zootechnics and biology, and her students. Later this day the student from Germany visited the museum of Vologda SDFA where he was told about the history of the academy and Vologda butter. In the evening several students invited Silas to walk in the city center and spent some free time together.
On the 20th of November, the I International scientific-practical student conference-competition “Contemporary problems and perspectives of development of agro-industrial complex” took place. 93 participants from 13 regions of Russia, from Belorussia and Germany gathered together to share reports and discuss different important topics. Summarizing the results of the conference, the diplomas and certificates were given to the participant to estimate their achievements. Silas Hayer received the second place certificate for his report: “Comparative analysis of strategic management decisions of dairy farmers and their economic impacts: a case study in Brazil (Toledo) and Germany (Wittlich)”.
