During the lecture Irina Britvina explored the topic “The peculiarities of contemporary approach to the organization of artificial insemination at factory farms and complexes”. The lecturer told about the basic characteristics of herd reproduction, organization of work with freshly-calved and lactating cows, the factors influencing the indicators of herd reproduction. The head of the department paid an attention to the organization of artificial insemination by different technological solutions.

Irina Britvina also provided examples of the organization of artificial insemination from the work experience of the leading farms of the Vologda region.

The student listened to the lecturer with great interest and asked several questions. Grigoriy Medvedev, the head of the department of biotechnologies and veterinary medicine of the partner university noticed several differences in approaches and methods of the organization of artificial insemination used in the Republic of Belarus and shared his opinion with the Russian colleague.
