Assessment of biochemical blood status of highly productive cows kept under different confinement conditions

The research has been carried out with the project named as «Study of feeding of highly productive cows under different confinement systems with the account of their biochemical status and milk quality in the European North of the Russian Federation». Regular biochemical blood tests make it possible to respond, to classify and to take measures for eliminating the adverse impact in a timely way. The article describes the results of biochemical blood tests of highly productive cows in tie-up and freestall housing in different periods of their physiological cycle.

Assessment of phagocytic activity of tilapia blood cells under hormone-induced stress

The paper presents an assessment of the phagocytic ability of blood cells of Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus L. under the hormonal induction of stress with range of duration. It has been revealed that Staphylococcus aureus is phagocytosed by leukocytes, platelets, and erythrocytes of tilapia blood in direct smears. The phagocytic capacity of the cells has been quantified.

Effects of laser irradiation on hatchability and blood morphological composition of chicken embryos

The effect of laser radiation exposure time on the blood morphological composition and the hatchability of “the White Hubbard” cross chickens embryos has been studied. The incubation eggs have been divided into 5 groups before incubation and exposed to laser irradiation for 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 seconds. Blood for study has been taken on the 20th day of embryo development by dissecting large vessels of the neck. Counting of the blood cells has been carried out by conventional methods.

Biochemical composition of highly productive cows blood in lactation phases

The article presents results of the study on biochemical blood composition in highly productive cows taking into account the lactation period.
