Selection and genetic parameters of productive traits and exterior features of black-and-white cattle in Western Siberia

The article presents materials on the selection and genetic indicators of black-and-white cattle. The amount of repeatability allows for selection by productive qualities already in the first lactation. There was a significant negative moderate relationship between the mass fraction of fat and milk yield for 305 days of lactation (- 0.308; Р>0,999). There is a tendency of negative weak dependence between the milk yield and the mass fraction of protein, namely, the increase in milk yield is accompanied by a slight decrease in protein content.

Changes in Milk Productivity Using the Feed Concentrate “Urga” in the Diet of Highly Productive Cows

The results of research in milk productivity of lactating cows using the feed concentrate “Urga”, products of the EM series (LLC “EM-cooperation”) were analyzed. The received the feed concentrate “Urga” animals had higher monthly milk yield, the amount of milk produced in terms of base fat and protein, higher level of realization of productive capacity, which pointes out the feasibility in developing a feeding program and increasing the efficiency of milk production.

Influence of the polymorphism complex of κ-casein (CSN3) and prolactin (PRL) genes on the milk productivity of the holstein first calf heifers

The presented study is dedicated to the influence of the polymorphism complex of κ-casein (CSN3) and prolactin (PRL) genes, which are responsible for milk quality and milk productivity. The study was carried out among Holstein first calf heifers by Integrated Agricultural Production Centre “Breeding farm named after Lenin” of Atninsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. DNA samples were separated from blood samples of 261 cows for identification and genotyping according to kappa-casein and prolactin genes by PCR-RFLP analysis method.

Influence of field beans «protected» protein on indicators of dairy cows productivity

The article presents the results of studies how field beans subjected to the microwave and chemical treatment influence the productivity of cows and the composition of milk. It has been found that the using in the cows diet of treated corn field beans in an amount of 1,5 kg per head of livestock increases the average milk yield with 4% fat by 5,3-11,1% and the absolute milk protein yield by 2,9-8, 2%.
