Dynamics of live weight and weight gains in different lines of black-motley replacement heifers of the Vologda type

УДК 636.082.35
Abstract:

In the conditions of the analyzed farms, studies were conducted on growing black-motley heifers of different lines. As the results of the conducted studies have shown, the live weight of heifers in all age periods of the studied lines at the analyzed enterprises is at the level of class I standard requirements or exceeds them by 6-11%. The average daily weight gains of heifers of the studied lines at the age from birth to 6 months were 690-820 g, at the age of 6-10 months – 570-810 g, at the age of 10- 12 months – 600-750 g, at the age of 12-18 months – 620-680 g. The relative weight gains of the heifers under study decreased with age; at the age from birth to 6 months the weight gain was 131-142%, from 6 to10 months – 31-48%, from 10 to 12 months – 10.4-16.5%.

Honey production of bee colonies and honey quality in the conditions of the Vologda region

УДК 638.132
Abstract:

The article presents results of the research on honey productivity and quality. It is established that the species composition of nectariferous plants is heterogeneous and the apiaries honey plants grown on their territory have different honey productivity from 15-25 to 800-1000 kg per hectare. On the territory of the apiary 1 grow the honey plants with higher honey production, such as White acacia, galega orientalis, Echium and Roundheaded globe thistle (Echinops sphaerocephalus). They are allowed to obtain for the season an average output of gross and marketable honey from each bee colony in the apiary 1 greater than in the apiary 2 at 0.8 and 2.5 kg or 3.9 and 26.6% respectively.

Abstract:

The article presents the materials of synthesizing and analyzing the ten-year experience of a peasant farm on improving the Romanov sheep breeding. New approaches in raising young sheep allow achieving the planned live weight with the rational use of feed per product unit in a timely manner.

Influence of starter feeds on general clinical, immunological and biochemical characteristics in calves’ blood

УДК 619.612.1:636.085
Abstract:

The article presents the results of the starter feed influence on the blood parameters in repair heifers of black-and-white breed. It is established that feeding starter feeds in the amount of 1.5-1.7 kg per head per day contributes to the positive dynamics of some immunological and biochemical hcaracteristics, improves the immunological status of the body.

Use of starter combined feeds in the ration of black-andwhite replacement heifers

УДК 636.2.086
Abstract:

The article presents results of the research dedicated to the influence of starter combined feeds on the growth of black-and-white replacement heifers. It has been found that feeding the animals at the age of 2-5 months with the starter combined feeds in the amount of 1.5-1.7 kg per head daily contributes to greater edibility of feeds and increase in average daily gains while optimizing the animal health condition.
